The L/S Gamma desk at QUANTT trades SPY options on a paper account. Each morning we forecast how much SPY will actually move and compare it with the volatility priced into its options. When options are expensive against that forecast, we sell gamma: short options, delta-hedged with SPY shares, to collect the volatility risk premium. When they are cheap, we buy gamma: long options, delta-hedged so that large moves pay for the time decay. When the gap is small, we stay flat. The volatility regime picks the side, and the hedge keeps the bet on volatility rather than direction. Every change to the rules is tested first as a pre-registered experiment below.
